Annual Women’s Studies Symposium

You are invited to be part of a supportive audience at the final presentations of major research papers in Women’s Studies. Fourth year students will present on topics such as: race and gender in Canadian media ads; Blackness, auto-ethnography and identity in Canada; gendering sibling relationships in film and TV; aging and the rom-com film genre; geographies of the solo female traveler; rape in the military, and feminist analysis of the internet’s most ‘accessible’ porn.
Each presentation represents a part of a student’s work in the course WOMN 4005 (6cr), a required course for graduation with a Major in Women’s Studies. Light refreshments will be provided.
