Labour Relations Update from Laurentian University

September 26, 2017
Labour Relations Update
Laurentian Administration and LUFA (Laurentian University Faculty Association) have been working hard to arrive at a renewed collective agreement. Mediation began on Sunday September 24th, and continued through the 25th. Parties have now agreed to another day of mediation on Tuesday, September 26th.
The University will continue discussions at the table and hopes to reach an agreement that meets the needs of the University and our faculty members.
LUFA has stated that if mediation fails it will direct members to strike on Thursday September 28th at 12:01am.
In the case of a strike, classes will be suspended temporarily. For now, it’s business as usual. We will keep you updated with the latest information as it becomes available.
