Two Remote Courses on “The Inklings” in the Winter 2021 Term

In the Winter Term of 2021, Thorneloe University offers two remote courses on “The Inklings” and their friends, the influential circle of Oxford-based authors and public intellectuals, such as C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Dorothy Sayers, and others. Their works are analyzed from perspectives in literature, religion, and philosophy.

RLST 2337: The Chronicles of Narnia

RLST 3266: J. R. R. Tolkien and the Religious Imagination

Dr. Jason Lepojärvi | Thursdays, 7:00–9:50 pm

Both courses include pre-recorded lectures, synchronous discussion sessions, Oxford-style tutorials, and fascinating guest lectures by leading Lewis and Tolkien scholars from around the world including Oxford University.
